A full day of Salt 1 day FULL ITINERARY

Departure from Uyuni at 10:30 am. Our first attraction is the train cemetery, later we move on to visit Colchani, where we observe the manual process of salt, salt crafts stores, salt extraction, the thickness of the salt and the first Salt Hotel built with salt blocks. Next attraction comes next, on the island of the fish (Incahuasi) with ancient and giant cacti, where from the top you can see the salt in its entirety, our return is programmed after lunch. On the way back to the town, you’ll be astonished of seeing the great sunset before the tour ends.

Tour Uyuni Salt Flats & Tunupa Volcano - 2 days

The previous tour is a little exhausting, so why not spending a night close to the Salt Plains? There is a little village called Coquesa, where Tunupa Volcano is located. This spot is great to see an incredible landscape of Salar de Uyuni, but not only that; you will also see some mummies and have a short walk through the Archaeological center of Coquesa.

Tour Uyuni Salt Flats & Tunupa Volcano 2 days FULL ITINERARY

Day 1 Departure from Uyuni at 10:30 am. Our first attraction is the train cemetery, later we move on to visit Colchani, where we observe the manual process of salt, salt crafts stores, salt extraction, the thickness of the salt and the first Salt Hotel built with salt blocks. Next attraction comes next, on the island of the fish (Incahuasi) with ancient and giant cacti, where from the top you can see the salt in its entirety. After lunch, we continue our way to Tunupa Volcano, on the Coquesa population, where we spend the night at the campsite and have dinner.

Day 2 We leave Coquesa after breakfast so we can visit the Chullpares Archaeological Center of Coquesa and its local attractions as the mummies; we have a short walk through the Volcano’s point view to see the Salt Flats incredible landscape. Later on, we go back to the bottom to see the flamingoes. We return to the town after lunch.

Uyuni Salt flats & the coloured lagoons of Sud Lipez - 3 days

This is the main choice for many travellers and the reason is obvious, the best attractions are included on this 3 day tour. Besides seeing the huge Salt Plains, you’ll also see volcanoes, hot springs, beautiful colored lagoons (red lagoon, green lagoon & white lagoon), as well wildlife you can only find in the Andes highlands. Uyuni Salt flats & the coloured lagoons of Sud Lipez 3 days FULL ITINERARY

Day 1 Departure from Uyuni at 10:30 am. After lunch, we continue our way to our first accommodation, we spend the night at the campsite and have dinner.

Day 2 We have breakfast before visiting the surroundings of Ollague Volcano, which is still active; we get to see the volcano from a 15 km distance. Besides the volcano, we visit some colored lagoons and flamingos around the area. We have lunch around midday. Later, we continue the tour through the extended region of Siloli desert, where the Red Lagoon and Stone Tree are located.

Day 3 We wake up at 5:00 am to see the geysers as the volcanic pressure is superior at that time of the day. We also visit the Polques Lagoon hot springs, where you can get in the thermal waters while the cook makes breakfast. Later, we visit the spectacular Green Lagoon and White Lagoon. After visiting these attractions you can either be transferred to San Pedro de Atacama or get back to Uyuni after lunch.

San Pedro de Atacama - Sud Lipez - Uyuni - 3 days

Yes, we also offer the previous tour backwards. If you are coming from Chile, this is probably the best choice to visit Sud Lipez and Salar de Uyuni. Please, be aware this trip will end in Uyuni, but feel free to contact us to arrange a round trip transportation finishing in San Pedro if you are planning to go back there.

San Pedro de Atacama - Sud Lipez - Uyuni 3 days FULL ITINERARY

Day 1 SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – LAGUNA VERDE – LAGUNA COLORADA 07:30 am check IN at our office in San Pedro de Atacama. 8:00 a.m. departure from San Pedro to Hito Cajones (border Chile Bolivia), where the migration spot is located and exchange the 4WD to continue the circuit towards "White" and "Green" lagoons, located at the foot of "Llicancabur" Volcano (4,350 masl). Here you can see the green color of such lagoon due to its high content of magnesium and the geological formations of the area. Our next stop are the hot springs of "Polques" where you can relax in natural waters and continue the path to the geysers and fumaroles (volcanic area) known as "Morning Sun" to reach Laguna Colorada, which is located in the Eduardo Abaroa National Park, here we will see the reddish color of the lagoon which is also populated by numerous flamingos before we reach our first night in basic accommodations.
WE RECOMMEND: Warm clothing, sleeping bag, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and bag of toiletries.

Day 2 RED LAGOON Stone Tree SAN JUAN / Chuvica After breakfast we continue the expedition through the "Siloli" desert, where we find an interesting rock formation called "Stone Tree", consisting of a mixture of moisture, wind and sand. Continuing the tour we will stop at the following lagoons; Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda Chiarcota and other that are not so deep but populated by different types of flamingos. After lunch we will stop at the viewpoint of the active volcano "Ollague" located at a height of 5.865 m, after our arrival in the afternoon, we get to visit to the town of San Juan where we receive our basic accommodation.

Day 3 SAN JUAN / Chuvica SALAR INCAHUASI COLCHANI Uyuni VILLA MAR After breakfast we continue the expedition to the largest salt desert in the world, visiting Isla del Pescado (Incahuasi) that is located in the middle of the salt desert, known as "Fish Island" and populated by enormous cactus with over 10 meters of altitude, from the top of the island you can admire the wonderful landscape of the Salt Flats. After that, we continue to the Salt Hotel, which is certainly a unique architecture, built with blocks of salt, both externally and internally, here you will find tables, chairs, spatially rooms and decorative art, all made of salt. We plan to reach Colchani around noon, a village located on the shores of the Great Salt Lake and the main entrance to the salt desert, here you can see the extraction of salt in a small scale for consumption. Completing the journey to visit the train cemetery, here you can see old trains and locomotives from 1899; these trains were part of an industrial past and most trains circulating wagons loaded with minerals, but today they became an historical and tourist attraction.
